More customization for group chats (see instead) -> “community channels” feature request

I made a chat

I wanted to add a ton of cool things, maybe add a description, rules or something.

I was only able to change the name and image.

It would be great if there were more features for chat customization like setting chat rules adding roles ( the other type of roles not rules) for people “set user role: color blue, role: admin” adding descriptions to chats so others can know what it’s for when they join.

    Only Owners of a group can change a group chat name or photo

    I think a owner of a Channel can only change the name and photo to stop people from grieifing the channel

      Feedback group discussed this. We want a “permissions” toggle so the owner can disallow the ability to change the image or name of a channel.

      that would be nice, i once had a chat and a friend kept changing the name and picture to something completely different

    “pinned post” (with description, rules, updates, ..) is maybe an easy way to implement this

    i agree that better description of a group chat is nice to have
