i think 1000 characters isnt really enough for some long messages, but also increasing the limit just gives spammers more power. so i propose: the Read More Button!

we increase the character limit to like 2500 or whatever, but any message above, say 500 characters will only be displayed as the first 500 characters and a read more button that shows the full message
