Community store come-back ideas.

The community store was one of my favorite parts of the site, even if it was only for selling profile pictures. The community store deserves justice, it was removed too soon.

1# more fun features: implementing features like items running out of stock, or having to pay a tax or “shipping” fee when buying an item.

2# more to use: people didn’t use the community store correctly often because they could just upload images from the web. And not a lot of people bought profile pictures because they can also get profile images from the web. A fix for this would be to sell stickers and profile rings instead. Selling stickers and profile rings is significantly better because profile ring designs don’t exist out there on the web. And you can’t steal a profile ring or sticker to upload on your profile.

3# anti theft: Things on the community store were super simple to steal, here’s more ways to prevent it. Re-use the google image search function to check if it’s from the web, you can’t upload a file that’s already on the store, add a rules page to the community store, and lastly just check up on the store items every once-in-a while.

4# visibility: No one could actually find the community store unless they saw the update post, or went to the store and looked at the top left. Some ways to make it more visible would be to, 1# advertise the community store a TON before it comes out so everybody knows about it. 2# advertise it AFTER it comes out aswell so more people know about it, and 3# have an automated post about the top 3 best items / best selling items in the store that week. One more thing is that you could put the community store somewhere else, like in the profile shop, a button would be at the top of the UI, “go to community store”.

5# challenges for creating items: example expameleleusuhs e.g create 5 items, sell 5 items, replace your stock, be seller of the week, sell your first item.

6# automated post: This week, the communitytore was used __ times! Let’s get it back up. The best selling item is lobster claws by @Christopher Bulu! The second best selling item is crab toe by _! The 3rd best selling item is someone didn’t pick up after their dog by —!
