PI think it would be really cool if projects could have buttons and code to make them interactive.
Projects are already a good way to share stuff you make, but being able to actually interact with them would make them way more useful. For example, you could make a game, quiz, calculator, interactive story, website, animation. ( someone could make a math quiz and then add a calculator)
There could just be a button you can add to a project, and then you could choose what happens when someone clicks it. Eventually you could have actual code for more complicated stuff.
It would basically let people make small interactive things directly inside Recess instead of just showing them.
i think this would be especially cool for people who like coding because you could actually make something other people can use/play instead of just posting screenshots or a finished project.
Some ideas for it:
Add more parts than buttons, maybe add simple shapes that can be resized, text displays etc
Maybe link them to sound effects (see post below)
Add different buttons/switches, maybe a slider or something.
Add UI Displays so people can make video games inside of recess, this would be really cool but probably excessive.
The coding should probably be done manually so it doesn’t use up money to run an AI bot. And if someone wanted to vib code it they would just get their own AI.
This might take a while to make and isn’t necessary so probably put it in cool idea, fix later.
